Our Select Advanced Dental Technologies
Intraoral Camera
The intraoral camera is a device we use to take high-resolution images of your teeth. We’ll be able to show you areas of your mouth that have issues, such as tartar buildup, cracks or fractures, cavities, and wear and tear. By seeing what our dentists see, you can better understand why certain treatments may be necessary.
1
The Wand® Anesthesia
The Wand is a computer-based system that administers local anesthesia without the need for a conventional syringe. This device, which looks like a pen attached to a cord, can be controlled by our dentists to provide a precise level of local anesthesia. This keeps just the treatment area fully numb throughout your appointment. Most patients report that the administration of local anesthesia with The Wand is completely painless!
2
Panoramic X-rays
Panoramic X-rays are a technology that provides high-resolution and panoramic scans of your mouth. These images show the proper location of teeth, tooth roots, bone, nerves, and sinuses. We use these images to precisely plan treatments.
3
DEXIS CariVu™
The CariVu is a non-xray device that uses transillumination (near-infrared light) to detect tooth decay and cracks. The light technology of this device illuminates suspicious areas of the tooth enamel, which can then be treated quickly and predictably. This device is painless and an efficient alternative to x-rays.
4
CEREC Restorations
Our CEREC technology allows us to design, mill, and attach custom-made dental restorations in just one appointment. We take impressions of your teeth and use them to digitally design your new dental crown or bridge in our software. Then, the CEREC milling machine will fabricate your new restoration in-office to be attached to your tooth or teeth immediately after finalizing.
